The scientific ethics workshop was held at Immunology, Asthma and Allergy Research Institute (Iaari) on Tuesday February 19, 2015.

The aim of this workshop was to familiarize the participants with the principals of scientific ethics and the
Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
At the beginningof this workshop, Dr. Moin (Head of the UNESCO Chair in Health Education and director of the Iranian Journal of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology) welcomed the participants and explained about the history of Iranian Journal of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, its procedural aspects, the importance of ethical aspect in review and publication process of an article. Then, he praised the premier reviewers in 2015.
Then, Dr. Akhoundzadeh (editorial board of Iranian Journal of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and Deputy of Research in Ministry of Health) reviewed the technical and ethical aspects of review process. After a short break in the second part of the workshop, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Nicknam (associated editor of Iranian Journal of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and head of the Department of Immunology, School of Medicine) gave a short explanation about the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). At the end of this workshop the speakers responded to the questions of the participants.
It should be noted that this workshop was held in collaboration of Iranian Journal of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, UNESCO Chair in Health Education, and the Iranian Association for Ethics in Science and Technology. A group of students, researchers and reviewers from Iranian Journal of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology participated in this workshop
